Abstract :
This report theoretically analyzes the lossless condition on word length such that errors due to rounding of signals and coefficients are nullified by the final rounding. Our analysis is based on mathematical expression of the rounding operation and its properties. According to our formulas, the minimum word length is determined for each input signal value. Results are more accurate than conventional L2 norm analysis.
