Abstract :
We present a model reference adaptive control scheme for feedback linearizable systems with unknown constant parameters, and prove adaptive tracking control exists in the nonlinear parameterization case, provided that the regressor vector satisfies certain conditions. The control and parameter update law we give are simple and direct. Although only single input-single output systems are considered in this paper, the main idea can be extended to multivariable nonlinear systems
