Abstract :
In recent years, distributed 3D sights simulation based on internet is attracting more and more attention for its many practical application. Based on Web Service technology, we design and develop a distributed simulation system for interactively browsing the 3D sights on the Web. The architecture of the system is of B/S mode, which consists of browser, 3D sights service and sights database. The 3D sights service is the core of the system, which connects browser with sights database by receiving user’s request, performing query from sights database according to the request, and returning the query result back. It supplies three interfaces to support communicating with browser. In order to support the simulation of 3D sights with high performance, an extended-relational logical model of 3D sights is designed, the sights data is organized based on this logic model and managed by Oracle spatial. In addition, a specification for transporting sights data between Web service and browser is proposed, the specification is defined with XML, with it the 3D sights data can be transported to any node of internet by Web service. Additionally, an effective strategy for sights data scheduling is designed to support the real-time rendering of 3D sights. With our system, user is able to browse complex 3D sights interactively on the Web.
