Abstract :
The numerical simulation of a wide-slot microstrip antenna is presented in this paper. The antenna is fed by a 50 Ω microstrip line with fork-like tuning stub for bandwidth enhancement. The proposed antenna is analyzed by the method of moments (MoM) and verified by the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) technique. It is shown that the impedance bandwidth can be as much as 4 GHz which is approximately 86% for a return loss less than or equal to -10 dB with good radiation characteristics.
