Abstract :
This paper presents hardware design of an RFID reader device, as one of the components of the system for automated recording of student attendance, number of teachers´ held classes, and use of classroom resources. The system is intended for automation of daily tasks at higher education institutions, but at the same time it is a component of a wider system for software support to quality assurance at higher education institutions. The RFID reader is designed and tested in laboratory conditions at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering East Sarajevo.
