  • Abstract
    A kind of printed monopole antenna for UWB applications with frequency band-notched function is presented. The proposed antenna provides a wide usable fractional bandwidth of more than 110% (2.89-11.43 GHz) with band-notched function around of 5-6 GHz. Simulated and experimental results of this antenna show that the proposed single band-notched square monopole antenna has a good antenna gain and radiation behavior within the UWB frequency. The antenna has a small dimension.
