Abstract :
This paper introduces a method to find the location and size of series capacitors to maximize the voltage profile of the network. A sensitivity parameter is developed to find the direct relationship between the bus voltage magnitudes and the compensation percentage of the line. Continuation method is used to update the bus voltage magnitudes and angles using the developed sensitivity parameters
