Abstract
The distribution of the sound field at low frequencies varies significantly in space. That is caused by the geometry of the room, the position of sources and receivers, as well as the acoustic properties of the room surfaces. The importance of response in the rooms dedicated to audio production and reproduction is crucial for good listening experience. Detailed analyzes of the response at low frequencies and its correlation with the reverberation time for three different situations is given. Mathematical model used in this research has proven to be suitable for describing the response at low frequencies. The analysis shows that the mathematical model and physical measurements indicates less than expected improvement of distribution of the sound.
