Abstract :
Optical filters are important basic blocks for signal processing. There are many alternatives for implementation of optical filters. In modern optical communications, for some special cases, we need to implement multi-band pass filters. In this work, we try to investigate quasi-periodic homogeneous structures as multi-band optical filters. For realization of this purpose, the Fibonacci-based quasi-periodic multilayer stack is used. The number of layers in the Fibonacci based quasiperiodic structure can be used for filter profile control. Also, we try to demonstrate the bandwidth dependency on system parameters.
