Promoting the use of an object-oriented software development methodology by merging structured and object-oriented analysis methods

The author discusses factors that are partially responsible for the gap between the state of the art and the state of the practice for object-oriented software development methods. The focus is on identifying factors that inhibit the speed of adoption of object-oriented software development techniques and on discussing methods of addressing these inhibiting factors.
