Abstract
In this paper we have presented ontologies and owl language for writing ontologies and Protege open source platform for managing ontologies. We have described the model for an ontology which could be used for creating curriculum in order to make comparative analysis of curriculum of foreign and domestic universities easier, representing support to the students´ exchange programs, adjustments of programs according to the guidelines of international institutions, accreditation of programs, etc.
