Abstract
This paper focuses on a novel scheme for watermarking natural language text. It is to use spread spectrum technique to spread the watermarks over the entire text via various synonym substitutions. We give a feasible implementation of synonym substitution using English WordNet, and conducts experiments on it. From the experimental results, we come to the conclusion that this scheme provides a high level of resilience to meaning-preserving attacks.
