Abstract :
To meet 3GPP the latest release of LTE Release 8 Standard, the paper designed and implemented the random access procedure of UE side protocol stack in LTE system. At first, the paper described the five events which trigged random access procedure, devised the major interface primitive and the state transition, analyzed unmoral condition of random access procedure. As the normal random access for example, we designed the flow chart of this procedure. Last, we used SDL and TTCN simulation which produced MSC figure. The simulation result shows that the design program can effectively complete the normal random access procedure. This is consisted with the Release 8 Standard.
