Abstract
This paper presents a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) suitable for video applications. This DAC can generally simplify conventional DAC circuits. The 8-bit DAC only requires twelve switches and twelve resistors to achieve the goal of high speed and low power applications. This DAC is implemented by TSMC 0.18 mum process technology. The simulation results of our work with integral non-linearity (INL) and differential non-linearity (DNL) is less than 1.57 LSB and 0.12 LSB, respectively. The average power consumption is only 1.10 mW/MHz.
