Abstract
This paper presents some aspects of FIR filter design, the impulse response of which is of complex value and has an amplitude of frequency response approximate to a desired one with arbitrary shape. Treated here is the minimum phase filter as well as so called phase control alone filter, in which the magnitude of each complex coefficient An is prescribed. Two such FIR filters applied to radar and sonar are synthesized in least squares approximation by using the D-S-P method of optimization procedure. Some concrete results are obtained from CAD.
