Abstract :
For the new proposal of using digital video broadcasting for handheld terminals (DVB-H) as a broadcast platform for wireless billboard channels (WBCs), this paper1 proposes to use classical Rayleigh fading channel modeling techniques to analyze the performance of such a broadcast platform for this usage. Effectively the performance figure of merit employed is the DVB-H transport stream packet error rate (TSPER). Some early performance results are found assuming a Rayleigh fading channel with a central chi-square distribution and utilizing a corresponding finite state Markov model (FSMM).
