The paper describes the development and utilization of two multimedia testbed systems, “AVJ” and “DVJ”. Experiences utilizing these systems in both traditional and experimental course formats are described. Data from exit surveys, course and instructor evaluations, performance on standardized exams, are presented to document the results obtained
