Abstract
A segmentation of spatial telemetry signals has been implemented based on a level crossing analysis of Linear Prediction Error. For such signals which may exhibit long stationarity intervals, a decision strategy has been studied in order to reduce false-alarm rate, without noticeably reducing the detection probability. It has been shown that in all observed cases, the detection procedure can be simply based on the analysis of the time spent by the LPE over a detection level.
