Abstract :
Finite-difference formulations are proposed for both the inner shield-conductor circuit and outer shield-ground circuit of a braided shielding cable. Then, the current in the shield-ground circuit induced by the signal transmitted in the cable is simulated in the time-domain and the shielding effectiveness of the braided shield against trapezoid signals is studied. Furthermore, the video electromagnetic leakage in the far zone is calculated. Finally, the information leakage effectiveness caused by electromagnetic radiation of braided cable is investigated. It is shown that the electromagnetic radiation of braided cable should be of concern in the secure information field.
