Abstract
A method is presented which calculates the optimum channel separation considering adjacent channel interference and cochannel interference simultaneously. The method is applicable to idealized cellular systems employing any modulation type. It is easy to use and an investigation of the optimum channel separations in ADC and GSM is demonstrated
