Abstract
An IDM-based space-time scheme is proposed to increase cell-edge throughput in the present of one main out-cell interference. Our results show that for low-rate applications, the proposed scheme can effectively remove the out-cell interference and exhibit a significant gain over the traditional STBC-based scheme. With excellent performance and low-complexity, our scheme is a promising candidate for low-rate applications, e.g, the control channel in the next generation cellular system.
