Abstract
Focusing on aviation safety information exchanges among different countries and international organizations in order to prevent air accident globally, a comprehensive comparison among relevant laws, regulations, taxonomies and database structures for aviation safety information adopted by ICAO, EU and China was made, and a prototype system for aviation safety information exchanges between the CAAC system and the ECCAIRS system used in EU and ICAO was developed. The prototype system implemented bi-directional aviation safety information exchanges with satisfactory experimental results. The research proved its feasibility to exchange aviation safety information between the CAAC system and the ECCAIRS system at a technical level. Recommendations was put forward to facilitate the international exchanges of aviation safety information in the future. As a successful scientific co-operation between China and EU, the research and development project showed a bright co-operative future in this field.
