Abstract
Forest area as an important parameter of the forest resources, to obtain forest area timely access is very significant for the monitoring forest resources. Remote sensing technology, because of its characteristics of multi-temporal and large-scale, is widely used on the quick access to the forest information [1-2]. The study area in this paper is Anshan, and we will select the highest accuracy classification from supervised classification, unsupervised classification and object-oriented classification to extract the forest area of Anshan in 1995, 2000 and 2006. The results showed that: the forest area of Anshan in three periods (1995, 2000 and 2006) is: 4588km2, 4668km2 and 4698km2.
