Abstract :
This paper addresses the implementation of multiple, variable-bandwidth filter banks for use in channelizing a sampled bandpass signal. Three implementation approaches which will produce the desired filter bank characteristics are discussed. The implementations are a fully parallel implementation, a multirate cascade approach and a two-stage analysis/ synthesis filter-bank implementation. Design feasibility for the latter approach is considered.
