Abstract :
What we propose is a decision support system to improve the dependability of highly interconnected communications and information systems (CIS) that consists of the following. First, a framework to use expert knowledge based on a Rete algorithm to use rules and proposes reactions to administrate computer systems using the incidents that occur. Second, a very visual decision support console to study and run the reactions proposed by the expert system on a real time basis. The administrator will not only have a time window to run the reactions proposed by the expert system but also a way to make those reactions automatic when they have been tested enough.
