Abstract :
The CuCrTe contact material prepared by smelting in vacuum and its properties are introduced, the results of test show it is a new type of contact material with better properties used in vacuum interrupters. Interrupting capacity of CuCrTe prepared by smelting in vacuum is better than that of CuCrSO manufactured by power metallurgy process, it´s withstand voltage properties after interrupting current is not lower than that of CuCrSO. When Te is added in CuCr, anti-welding properties of the CuCr contact material is improved.
