Abstract :
Mirrored space is a space where we allocate attention for veridical behavior. In this study, observers were required to discriminate color while ignoring distracters in both real space and mirrored space to determine similarities or differences in the allocation of attention between these spaces. Results showed that reaction times were slower in the mirrored space condition than in the real space condition. Although attention was controlled in both conditions, different spatial frames of reference might be used in the mirrored space condition.
