Abstract :
Parallel phase-shifting digital holography has attractive features in the instantaneous measurement of three-dimensional field with better spatial resolution compared with off-axis digital holography. It is important to evaluate the recording property of parallel phase-shifting digital holography for fast three-dimensional events. In this paper, we review the photon counting approach to assess the quality of reconstructed image. We add new results of the reconstruction quality when the power ratio between an object wave and a reference wave changes. This evaluation gives the fruitful information when the power of object wave is small.
