Abstract :
In this paper the PTR and LPF of China´s HY-2A satellite altimeter were extracted and their features were analyzed. Then Look-Up Tables (LUTs) of the range (height), SWH and amplitude (AGC) were generated based on the PTR and LPF by Monte-Carlo simulation. The actual PTR and the Bessel FSIR expression were included in the simulation model to acquire the most accurate results. The biases with respect to the SWH and attitude angle were tabulated by very fine grids, and the pertaining biases must be corrected in the pre-processing routine to get better sea surface height products.
