Abstract
The workshop of IT-enabled Services (ITeS) counts 4th of its gathering at SAINT2011. The first meeting was held in 2008 when ITeS was considered as a kind of mere extension of "outsourcing.\´\´ The participants of the first meeting confirmed that the conceptual framework of ITeS entails wider range of services which are provided over the internet. The panel discussion of the fourth workshop of ITeS at SAINT2011 revisits and redefines its framework by reflecting the advancement of technologies during recent years. This paper presents basic background for discussion.
