Abstract :
A method for extending the space bandwidth available for recording an object wave in an off-axis configuration and parallel phase-shifting interferometry using a commercially available polarimetric camera is presented. In these configurations, most of the space bandwidth is discarded to avoid the superposition of the unwanted images, the 0th-order diffraction wave and the conjugate image, on an object wave. By the proposed method, the recordable spatial information without the unwanted images can be increased by intentionally setting the aliasing with a large angle between the reference wave and the optical axis of the object wave. By applying the proposed method to off-axis and parallel phase-shifting configurations, the space bandwidth can be extended 1.56 and 1.41 times wide in radius, 2.43 and 2.00 times wide in square in comparison with the conventional ones.
