Abstract
The rapid development of technology has enable people in developing countries to catch up with the rest of the world, as technologies are becoming more affordable and accessible. But some of them are still facing difficulties when interacting with the technology, due to their inability to read, hence understanding the interface of the technology. This study is going to look at the comparison of some cognitive abilities relevant to ICT use between illiterate and literate user. Some recommendations in designing user interface for illiterate user were presented based on the study.
