Abstract :
In this paper, statistical analysis of clusters are presented based on the indoor hotspot wideband multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel measurements at 2.35 GHz. Clusters are identified with an automatic cluster identification algorithm according to the power weighted multiple component distance (MCD) jointly on the azimuth of arrival(AoA), azimuth of departure(AoD), elevation of departure(EoD), elevation of arrival(EoA), and delay domains, instead of traditional delay-AoAAoD domains. A new method at the initial step of KpowerMeans algorithm is proposed, which yields more intra-compact and inter-separated clusters. After that, the intra cluster parameters including delay spread (DS), azimuth spread of arrival (ASA), azimuth spread of departure (ASD), elevation spread of arrival (ESA), and elevation spread of departure (ESD) of the clusters, and inter cluster parameter of the cluster number distribution are presented in both line-of-sight (LOS) and none-line-of-sight (NLOS) scenarios. These results show concrete information about cluster propagation in indoor scenario which are very useful to the design and evaluation of IMT-Advanced systems.
