Abstract :
In this paper, based on the concrete configuration of the medium voltage vacuum switch cabinet, the 3D mathematical model of electric field has been established for computing and analyzing the insulation performance. And the distributions of electric field at different locations and displacement angles have been obtained using finite element method (FEM). The locations of the maximum electric field strength and the weak insulation have been found. Moreover, by taking some improvement measurement has successfully solved the practical insulation problems.
