Abstract :
This paper extends the family of fast least squares adaptive filter algorithms to the class of adaptive filters with linear phase. During the development of the fast algorithm for this case, a link to a linear prediction problem involving simultaneous minimization over both forward and backward linear prediction squared errors was discovered.
