Abstract :
The need for Information Communication Technology (ICT) in education today cannot be over-emphasized. An ICT-enabled pedagogy entails that the teachers take on newer and challenging roles to facilitate an effective teaching-learning process. In this context, our tutorial is an attempt to bring out the key elements of facilitation required in using an ICT-enabled method for teaching-learning. In particular, it will demonstrate that an aptly designed ICT-enabled method of teaching can lead to a higher level-of-learning. The insights, inferences and design of this tutorial have been primarily drawn from engineering classrooms of India. However, whether or not ICT enabled pedagogies can be suitably used for subjects other than engineering as well and similar questions will also be duly addressed in this tutorial. The tutorial has been designed to be experiential in nature wherein it will engage every participant in an interactive session on how to plan, prepare, execute and reflect on an ICT-enabled method of teaching, for a given subject matter.
