Abstract
The problem of aiming control is formulated. Necessary and sufficient conditions for complete and partial residence time controllability of linear systems with small additive noise are derived. Design techniques for aiming controllers are given. The development is based on a control-theoretic approach to the asymptotic first passage time theory.
