Abstract :
An approach is being proposed for the incorporation of heuristic expertise from the problem domain, parameters of finite precision hardware and the optimality/feasibility trade-off, into the solution process of optimal control of dynamic systems. The approach is demonstrated via time optimization of a double integral plant. Shortcomings and open issues related to the approach are discussed.
