Abstract :
In this paper, we discuss a model for large-scale synchronous distance mode teacher training. A two-week workshop using satellite and Internet was conducted in a synchronous distance mode, in which 641 teachers from 218 engineering colleges participated. We conducted a survey to determine participants´ feedback and role of factors such as, gender, age, qualification and location of college in the implementation. The analysis of the survey suggests that, although the training was conducted in the distance mode, there was high level of participants´ satisfaction and the participants found the workshop to be effective.
