Abstract :
The authors consider the optimally robust and adaptive stabilization of uncertain systems modeled as controlled differential inclusions. They adopt an approach in the spirit of the Hinrichsen-Pritchard supremal complex stability radius, which is consistent with the approach of M.A. Rotea and P.P. Khargonekar (1989) in terms of quadratic stabilizability. They do not, however, consider the case of the supremal real stability radius and preliminary investigations suggest that there will be differences between the bounds achieved by the authors´ geometric approach and other methods which do not exploit this extra structure
