Abstract
In this paper, we present the approximated CRB for time delay estimator in multipath channel operating at low SNR ranges. In general, evaluation of true CRB is difficult to obtain. Instead, here we derive a simple closed form expression, which is an approximation of true CRB, at low SNR ranges. The computation of this approximated CRB involves less complexity and is reasonably accurate.
