Abstract :
Our technical program offers a wide range of activities organized into the following tracks: Keynote speakers who will present thought-provoking talks in which they share their experiences; Research and experience papers that present that latest, best, and most important research in the area of software reliability engineering; Industry practices papers that aim to establish a dialog among practitioners and researchers on the results, obstacles, and lessons learned; Fast abstracts that present lightly reviewed two-page technical articles promoting current work, research, practices, opinions, experiences, and issues; Student papers that describe on-going research of current students; Workshops that aim to build communities that are vital to current interests in research and industry; and Tutorials that aim to deliver accelerated education in a specific topic. For the first time, the IEEE International High Assurance Systems Engineering Symposium (HASE) is co-locating with ISSRE, allowing participants to attend sessions in both symposia. In the Research Papers track, 130 papers were submitted and among them 42 were selected (32%). Each of these papers received an average of five independent reviews. A total of 633 reviews have been received. The research program is the fruit of the concerted efforts of a devoted 53-member program committee who were helped by 32 secondary reviewers and by members of the ISSRE Steering Committee. In the Industry Practices track, 31 papers were submitted and 24 were chosen. The Fast Abstract track received 35 papers and selected 17 among them. Finally, 11 papers were submitted to the Student Papers track and five were accepted.
