Abstract :
In this paper, we presented an effective and low-cost approach of generating green light and microwave subcarrier with a Nd:YVO4/KTiOPO4 dual-mode microchip laser. 1064 nm infrared signal generated by the Nd:YVO4 crystal is frequency doubled by the KTiOPO4 (KTP) crystal to generated 532 nm green light. Microwave subcarrier is generated by electro-optic mode locking through the KTP crystal. Efficient green light and microwave subcarrier with good spectra quality are obtained.
