Abstract
The response of cerebral blood flow to changes in arterial tensions of carbon dioxide and oxygen in premature infants is studied. Experimental data for premature infants under mechanical ventilation has been compiled from the literature and analyzed. Algebraic representations are derived to describe the steady-state relationships for cerebral blood flow in terms of arterial blood tensions of oxygen and carbon dioxide for premature infants
