Abstract
In the last few years there has been interest in the problem of remote sensing of the rain perturbed sea surface. The prime reason is that the determination of sea wave spectra, near surface wind speed and sea surface temperature by means of algorithms which don´t take into account these perturbations significantly degrades remote sensing efficiency and accuracy of weather and climate predictions. In this paper the results of experimental investigation of the influence of rain on backscattering and emission from the sea surface are presented. The results were obtained during a ship-airborne-space joint experiment which was conducted in July-August 1992
