Failure detection in dynamical systems

Failure detection and correction is an important scientific and practical subject. Some works have been recently done in the area of the analytical failure detection for linear systems, [1,3,5,6]. The main part of such failure detector devices is an observer, where the error between the measured output and the estimated one is used for the failure detection.
