  • Abstract
This manuscript presents an analysis of the dynamic performance of a multimachine power system with the presence of Thyristor Controlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) device working in set with additional controllers. The Power Sensitivity Model (PSM) is used to represent the multimachine power system. The design of Power Oscillation Damping (POD) and Power System Stabilizers (PSS) controllers is accomplished through techniques of classical control of phase compensation in frequency domain. By obtaining the residue of the transfer function of open loop controller the best location for the TCSC / POD is found.
