Abstract :
We describe our experiences over some fifteen years with a group of sequential control languages all based on state transition diagrams, which have been used by circuit designers and programmers in a variety of applications. The languages have some useful structural attributes, and serve as implementation languages as well as design languages. Our experience leaves us cautiously optimistic about the future utility of such languages.
