  • Abstract
    A novel approach is proposed for the synthesis of nonlinear multiport resistors using the high-level (HL) canonical piecewise-linear (PWL) representation. We use this methodology to represent the characteristics of the nonlinear multiport resistors contained in a circuit representation of the Hodgkin-Huxley neuron model. The preliminary results presented in this paper constitute a first step towards the VLSI implementation of a biological neuron
