Abstract :
An analysis of nonpersistent CSMA (carrier sense multiple access) in radio channels with imperfect carrier sensing is presented. Numerical results show that a careful optimization of the channel state detector parameter must be performed in order to get good system performance; otherwise, the system will tend to behave like unslotted Aloha
